Can I upload files to you?
You can upload files to us here if they are large, or simply email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Preferred file formats
Where possible, we always prefer print ready PDF files. This includes files that have trims and 3mm bleed. Please ensure that fonts are always embedded, and artwork set to CMYK.
We also accept EPS files, Illustrator files (.ai), Photoshop files (.psd), InDesign files with all links and fonts embedded (.indd or .idml) or JPEGs / PNGs / TIFFs. We will always do our best to accommodate these files, but due to the nature of many variables, we may need to request specific changes, or we can always assist or fix files, however additional charges may apply.
What are crop marks and bleed?
Crop marks or trims are indicators where the printed product is to be cut. These are thin lines placed on the corners of a document, image or artwork layout. Crop marks are important for any artwork, especially if the design is designed so that you have bleed. (images or colour right to the edge)
Bleed on a document means that the printed design is intending to extend to one or more of the 4 edges of the document. Bleed is typically required to extend 3mm or more past the edge of the crop marks. This ensures that when the document is trimmed to its final size, the design does go the very edge of the page. If no bleed has been added, you may end up having a white strip on the edge of 1 or more sides. Regardless if the document has bleed or not, any print job that needs to be trimmed to size will require crop marks. You can create these using the same software used to create your original design.
Business Card artwork
While we can do any size Business Card, the standard size is 90mm x 55mm. A small additional charge may apply for other custom sizes.
Roll Up Banner artwork
Standard size banners: Artwork image area is 845mm wide x 2100mm high. However, please add / allow an additional image area of 10mm at the top (non visible area) and 90mm at the bottom (non visable area) for the top clasp and bottom roll. That brings the total artwork size to 845mm x 2200mm (not including 3mm bleed).
Larger size banners: Artwork image area is 1190mm wide x 2100mm high. However, please add / allow an additional image area of 10mm at the top (non visable area) and 90mm at the bottom (non visable area) for the top clasp and bottom roll. That brings the total artwork size to 1190mm x 2200mm (not including 3mm bleed).
Spot UV or Scodix artwork
Spot UV or Scodix is an impressive layered raised clear polymer added to any element on your artwork (usually over a logo to make it stand out). Your artwork needs to have a separate page added with the Spot UV or Scodix layer set up as a spot colour, named “Spot UV” or “Scodix”. It should be the only Spot colour in the artwork, with the rest being CMYK. We can do the layer for you, although a small charge may apply.
Setting up artwork for eyelets
If you choose to include eyelets with your corflutes or outdoor banners, your artwork will need to be set up with an appropriate clear space area so that nothing important is lost in the eyelet area.
Corflutes require 40mm of clear space inside each corner to allow space for the eyelets. Outdoor banners require 50mm of clear space inside each eyelet area.
Lines on your notepads
If you require lines to be printed on your notepads for writing, these lines need to be included in the design of your supplied artwork. If lines are not supplied in your artwork, the notepads will not have lines printed.
PLEASE NOTE THAT WE CAN DESIGN AND SET UP ANY ARTWORK FOR YOU IF YOU NEED.
